    THE WORK OF THE LORD

"Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord".
                                                                                     (1 Cor. 15: v58)

Prayer of The Day - Lord God, defend your Church from all false teaching and give to your people knowledge of your truth, that we may enjoy eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

    From the Rectory

It was wonderful to have a completely packed church including 50 children for the Opening of our wonderful new Lodge on Sunday. 42 children age 3-11 were the first to experience the Lodge for Sunday school led by Liz Boland our Young People’s minister.

The Archdeacon's sermon was excellent – really inspiring and just right for the occasion in the midst of a time of national mourning.
Do watch it on  our Facebook page or website if you missed the service.

    HARVEST CELEBRATIONS

Do join us for our Harvest social and Quiz at the Village Hall on Friday 30th September 7.00pm – 10.30pm and also Sunday 2nd October is our Harvest Festival Service at 10.30am and Gift Day.

    ALPHA COURSE

Our Alpha Course begins on Wednesday October 5th and runs weekly till 16th November in our wonderful new Lodge.

The Alpha Course is used all over the world by Christians to introduce people to Jesus and encourage them to explore the Christian faith.

Many people today have had very little opportunity to find out for themselves about Christian commitment while others would value a chance to go deeper. It doesn’t matter if you miss some sessions – you can watch the films at home on Youtube.

The evening will begin at 7.00pm with refreshments followed by a short video and then a chance to discuss in small groups till 8.30pm.

Bring friends and be one of the first adults to enjoy our new facility.

Prayer is our conversation with God. He wants us to come to him with all our worries and thanks. We have put aside a space in Church, under the gallery at the front. Please feel free to sit in private prayer, give us your requests and know that God through Jesus is listening.

Please have a look at the information with regards to our new Lodge, by clicking on 'The Lodge' tab at the top of the homepage.

Safeguarding - As a Church we have adopted the House of Bishops ‘Promoting a Safer Church’ policy and the Parish Safeguarding Handbook, incorporating the House of Bishop’s Safeguarding Policy and Practice Guidance. Our PCC has formally adopted this and signed the Safeguarding Policy Statement Promoting a Safer Church.  Details of our Parish Safeguarding Officer can be found in the ‘Contact Us’ section on the website. We have also displayed the Promoting a Safer Church poster prominently within our Church. All those working with children and adults at risk have undergone safer recruitment, received safeguarding training and support.
